Thank you for considering UCLA for your graduate study. Our graduate academic and professional master's and doctoral programs are highly ranked and comprise a full spectrum of study. We offer degrees in a wide range of fields that includes Aerospace Engineering, English, Human Genetics, Molecular Toxicology and Public Health, to cite a few examples. We are especially proud of our beautiful campus, located just seven miles from the Pacific Ocean and in the heart of metropolitan Los Angeles. The application process for UCLA graduate programs is comprised of two parts. Part one is designed for the submission of basic information, including your academic history and the degree program to which you wish to apply, as well as the application fee. You submit this information to UCLA through the online application. The information you present to the UCLA Graduate Division through this application process is made available online to the academic or professional program within a day of the date on which you submit the application. The second part of the application process involves the submission, directly to the program, of the statement of purpose, transcripts, letters of recommendation and any other material (samples of written work, portfolios, etc.) required by the program. Some programs (see departmental listing for information) require completion of a supplementary application that will either be linked at the end of this application or will be a separate form obtained directly from the department or from its website. This second part of the application process is the one in which you have the opportunity to present any written or other audio or visual material (essays, articles, portfolios, compact disks, audio or video tapes, etc.) that you find important in the documentation of your academic and professional accomplishments. We assure you that the information you submit through the online application is through a secured server that utilizes Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol and a Secure Server Digital ID to protect the privacy and integrity of the information you send to us. Also, the credit card information submitted through CyberPay is executed through totally secured servers and connections. Once the credit card number is accepted by CyberPay for payment of the application fee, the credit card number does not come back across the line from CyberPay and is not stored on any UCLA computer. Again, we are appreciative of your interest in graduate study at UCLA and offer our best wishes for success with your application. Sincerely,
Daniel J. Bennett, Assistant Dean |
